Bike Parks in the Boise Area
If you’re craving some airtime or want to hit pump tracks, these local bike parks have you covered. Here are three of the best bike parks near Boise:

Boise Bike Park
Located right next to downtown Boise, Boise Bike Park is a great place to practice your jumps, with a 2 pump tracks and multiple jump lines. The park sees a lot of traffic due its proximity to the Military Reserve trails and the dog park. Located minutes from downtown Boise this park sees a lot of different skill levels taking advantage of the features here.

Boise Bike Park

Eagle Bike Park
Located just outside Boise, Eagle Bike Park offers a variety of jump lines, practice features, and a small pump track. It has the largest elevation gain for a local park, with nearly 300' elevation and 3 trails that descend from the top of the hill.

The three trails are Storming Mormon, Shake and Bake, and Flow trail. All are pretty popular with the locals. On the lower portion of the park, there are shorter jump lines that you'll often see local pros or advanced riders practicing. This section is the place YouTubers will be filming on the big gaps or pro features built here. It’s a local hotspot for bikers who want to push their limits or simply work on their technique.
Eagle Bike Park is a fantastic spot for cross-country riders of all levels, but it really shines for beginners and intermediate riders looking to get a solid workout. The bike park is well-developed and continues to expand, especially on the Eagle side of the park where new trails are regularly added and existing ones improved. If you're just getting into mountain biking, take a look at the park map and you’ll see a wide range of green-rated trails that are perfect for building confidence and getting comfortable on the bike. It’s an ideal place to log some seat time without getting in over your head.

Discovery Bike Park
Discovery Park is another option for jump-focused riding. This park is the newest addition to the local bike parks, it has two high quality pump tracks and a small dirt jumper section. More features will be coming as the park grows. Located on the South side of the treasure valley, this park is a nice addition to the riders on the Meridian and Kuna sides of the treasure valley.
Got a great photo of you or your crew riding at Discovery Bike Park? I would love to feature local riders of all skill levels in our gallery!

Boise Trail Network and Trailheads
When it comes to Boise’s trail system, the local trail organization is Ridge to Rivers network, which spans the Boise foothills up to Bogus Basin. Whether you want a casual afternoon ride or a big adventure, this system has something for everyone. Before you head out, make sure to check out Ridge to Rivers’ interactive map or grab a paper copy at a local bike shop.
For those who prefer using apps, platforms like Strava, MTBProject, and onX Backcountry are also great resources. Below are some trailheads you don’t want to miss

Military Reserve
A popular spot close to downtown, Military Reserve offers a variety of trails with both climbing and descending options. It's a great access point for longer loops connecting to other parts of the Ridge to Rivers network. This area is located just behind the Boise Bike Park. It's a great area to meet up with friends for a day on the trails. You can easily park near the baseball fields and ride to the trailheads and stop by the bike park on your way back.

Eastside / Stack Rock
If you’re looking for a more scenic ride in the pine trees, head up Bogus Basin road to the Stack Rock parking lot. This area offers beautiful views and a mix of flowy singletrack and some technical sections. You can ride out to Stack Rock or ride up Bogus Basin road to Eastside trail for an epic loop. The Eastside loop is a local favorite especially during the heat of summer and the fall season.
June 13th 2025 NOTICE
THERE IS WORK BEING DONE UP HERE AND THE TRAILS ARE CLOSED MON-FRIDAY. ONLY OPEN ON WEEKENDS.
Dry Creek
This is a local favorite trail, if not the favorite trail. Especially now that Eastside is being logged by the NFS. Dry Creek is truly an epic trail, a must ride kind of trail.

Hidden Springs Trails
Hidden Springs is a fun area with some fantastic trails that offer a mix of cross-country riding and fun descents. It’s quieter than other spots, making it perfect for a peaceful ride. Though there is not a lot of shade out here and you're likely to see a snake or two, but don't let that keep you from checking out these trails. There are some fun loops you can explore out here. A personal favorite trail of mine is Landslide. The climb up is a challenge, but descending Landslide is so much fun!

Polecat Loop
Located just northwest of the city, this loop is ideal for riders who want a moderate ride with some good climbs and fast-flowing descents. There are 2 loops out here you can explore. This area features directional trails that rotate every year. Making it a fun challenge each year. My blog about this loop.

Polecat has some amazing views of Boise and the foothills.

Hulls Gulch / 8th Street
Hulls Gulch is a local favorite for its variety and technical challenge. You can link it with other nearby trails to create a bigger ride. Lower Hulls Gulch trail has directional traffic on certain days, be sure to check the date and read the signs on the gate before you go. It's the only trail that really allows you to enjoy descending with speeds on downhill only days.
On the other side of 8th street is Bobs Trail. An iconic trail in the Boise area. Check out the trail highlight blog I made about this one!
Construction is underway on the new Sideshow Trail above Hulls Gulch Reserve, designed specifically for downhill mountain biking. Built by Integrated Trail Lab, the trail is expected to open in late June 2025 and will add an exciting new option to Boise’s growing trail network. For more details and updates, check out the full blog post I wrote about it.
