Filthy Segments #1 – Eagle Bike Park XC Loop

Join me for this week’s Filthy Segments at Eagle Bike Park! A 3-mile XC loop with 350 feet of climbing, flowing singletrack, and a chance to ride with the Filthy Casual crew. Track your time on Garmin or Strava and see who in the community is riding with you!

Filthy Segments #1 – Eagle Bike Park XC Loop

Welcome to this week’s Filthy Segments, your invite to come ride a little slice of trail with me. Today’s feature is an XC loop I put together at Eagle Bike Park. It’s just over 3 miles with about 350 feet of climbing, enough to get the legs working without turning it into a sufferfest. I’ve built the segment on both Garmin Connect and Strava so you can log your ride and see how you stack up against the community and well, yourself.

The goal here isn’t speed, it’s connection. Think of these segments as a chance to ride a section of trail in one go, at your pace. This isn’t about getting a KOM or leaderboard bragging rights, it’s about trying something new and sharing the experience with the Filthy Casual crew.

Here’s the route: You’ll start on Rabbit Run just off the access road and follow it all the way up toward the turn-off to the peak. Skip the summit climb and stay to the right at the junction to keep rolling on Rabbit Run. As you approach the ridge saddle, you’ll link into D’s Chaos and stay on it until you reach Twisted Sister. Ride Twisted Sister all the way down to TS Connector, passing the Stormin’ Mormon exit and making your way to Low Rider. From there, cruise past the BMX track and head back to the parking lot to wrap it up.

NOTE: I messed up the strava loop and it starts at the access road gate, not rabbit run.

I’m kicking things off with an XC loop because lately I’ve been chasing longer segments, and I thought it’d be fun to mix it up at Eagle Bike Park. Plus, I’m curious to come back to this same loop in the winter and see if my time improves when the air is cold and I've had a couple months of consistency in the saddle.

So load it up, give it a spin, and let’s see where you land. The real win is just getting out there and riding. Hope to see y'all on the leader boards.

Forever Two Wheels!
